Some changes have recently been made to the Design & Creative category. This is not a major update, but since Design is one of our major specialties, alongside with development, we would like to cover it here.
Why change?
Upwork constantly tries to improve its search and matching algorithms for better user experience. And we have to say, it has good results since client's get what the need most of the time. I once got a pretty cheerleader as the main search result for 'English tutor' on another website, so let's all thank Upwork for trying to improve the website both for clients and freelancer.
What changed:
They did some renaming, merging, and corrections to subcategories and specialties in Design&Creative. More specifically:
- Added new subcategories in Gaming & AR/VR, Video & Animation, and Performing Arts.
- Added new specialities.
- Automatically updated related categories, job filters and feeds, existing profiles, and job posts with any applicable changes.
