Upwork Update:

Scheduling Meetings

Upwork keeps working on improving communication both for the clients and talent. Earlier this year it integrated Zoom calls, which proved to be very convenient. And now scheduling calls has become even easier.

Starting August Upwork is rolling out automatic meetings scheduling.

You can read in detail how it works on Upwork update page or look at the images we added below. The process is pretty straightforward

  1. Click “Schedule a Meeting” at the top of the page.
  2. Connect your calendar or skip this step.
  3. Choose the time zone, day and time to specify your availability.
  4. Choose the meeting length: 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes.
  5. All room participants receive a link where they choose the day and time and the meeting is scheduled.

Why it is worth using the new feature:

  • Zoom link will be automatically added to the calendar event for all participants;
  • The system automatically blocks time if another meeting was booked, minimizing the risk of schedule conflicts.
  • All participants who integrated the calendar or added the event will receive a notification, so they don’t forget about the scheduled call.
  • With just a few clicks you can avoid sending back and forth messages trying to figure out the best meeting time for all the attendees.
  • All room participants can book, reschedule or cancel a meeting with a few clicks.
