FIG
is a US food tech start-up. They developed an application allowing people with special diets or allergies to easily find food they can safely eat. They are launching marketing efforts for the app, so they needed a cool, engaging FIG website to attract and convert new users.
FIG aims to make a life for people with special food requirements simple. In line with this, they also wanted a simple website according to already created designs. The Etcetera team helped them achieve that goal beautifully by solving even the complicated challenges with a clean and easy solution.
Their designs were missing a few pages that would automatically generate content for users according to the particular promotion campaign. Our designer Petro helped create a layout for those pages, insert relevant arts, adjust them to the changing content, and adapt those designs for mobile.
Eugene, the full-stack developer, working on the project, implemented all the designs. The website is built with WordPress so that it’s easy for the client to interact with it even without a developer. To increase the functionality of the CMS, Eugene used a custom fields plugin, as well as PHP templates and JS (jquery, GSAP) for sliders and animation.
Eugene developed a plugin for the website that will connect with FIG’s food database via API. Additionally, he connected with Twillio API to send SMS messages.
FIG website design and development case is a great example that even things that look easy have complicated work in the background, allowing to achieve this simplicity. FIG makes food choices easy for people, but they had to create a huge database in the backend to make it possible. Etcetera helped them develop a website that would make it easy for the company to get more users. But as you see, solving the challenges that lead to it is only easy when you have a reliable, professional design and development partner.
