June 20 is World Refugee Day. It is designed by the United Nations to celebrate and honour refugees from around the world. We never thought this day might become so painfully relevant to us Ukrainians. Yet as of today, there are over 5.1 million refugees across Europe from Ukraine. And over 8 million of internally displaced people in Ukraine also lost their home and were forced to flee their house.
In this post, we’ve collected a list of information from the UN High Commissioner for Refugees that can help those people. Because besides humanitarian and financial assistance from UNHCR, their website offers a lot of relevant and reliable information we can trust and rely on today. Having such a source of data in a flood of information is a very helpful tool.
In Ukraine UNHCR assists with shelter, non-food items, and cash assistance programme for IDPs. You can find all of the information on their Ukrainian website: https://www.unhcr.org/ua.
