Happy

Hobbit

Day

Happy Hobbit Day to all our fellow Tolkien fans! We don't know half of you half as well as we should like; and we like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

So, we've come up with a plan to get to know each other better.

Here is how to celebrate Hobbit Day if you are a freelancer. Tag us in your stories, and we will repost to see how many fans of this wonderful world we have here.

1. Food!

It wouldn't be a Hobbit Day, of course, if FOOD were not the first thing on our list. Spend this day as a true hobbit with plenty of warm cakes, smelly cheese, delicious meat, fresh bread, teas, wine, and ale.

2. Friends and family.

We know it is tempting to stay under a warm blanket on this cold September day. Especially if you are a freelancer and you don't have to leave home at all. But a hobbit would gather all the friends and family. We promise it would be rewarding to make an effort. Invite them over to help with all that food and drinks we mentioned above. Some music and good conversation are a great way to make this day even more Middle-earth-like.

3. Go back to the roots...

Watch the movies or read the books. Depending on your level of Tolkien devotion, you can even open up the long-forgotten Silmarillion to sink once more in that beautiful world of elves, dwarves, loyalty, and adventure.

You can combine all three items and discuss your favorite scenes and moments with your friends over the food and drinks - wouldn't that be a perfect celebration of Hobbit Day?
