Communication is the key to a successful project, happy clients, and growing profits. That is why it makes us happy Upwork tries to make communication easier on the platform with its new update. For over a month Upwork has been testing Loom integration. And starting November 9th all freelancers and clients can use Loom in their messages. It allows you to record the screen and add a voice-over in the recording. You can quickly send recordings to others in Upwork Messages to make sharing work and collaborating easier.
It’s flexible. You can choose the recording that works for you: record your (1) screen and camera, (2) screen only, or (3) camera only.
You can edit or even delete the recording and start over. Which is a precious chance you don’t get in live meetings.
You don’t need to stay up late to catch the other person’s time zone if you need to show or explain something.
There is no limit to the recording length or the number of recordings if you’re signed into your own Loom account even if you have a free Loom account (while free Loom accounts typically contain limitations).
On the receiving end you can replay, pause, or back up the recording to make sure you get the message right and remind yourself of the details later.
❗️One thing to note is that Loom integration in Messages is only available when using Chrome or Edge as your browser. It doesn't work with Desktop or Mobile Apps.
